VISIT COCHITI PUEBLO

The Pueblo de Cochiti requests that respect be given for privacy of its members, for the rules and regulations for visiting the Pueblo, and for Tribal Officials by all visitors to the Pueblo.

The Pueblo offers a wide variety of experiences to visitors including recreation areas, pueblo dances, access to pueblo artists, and many more.

Cochiti Lake

Cochiti Lake is located within the boundaries of the Pueblo de Cochiti Reservation on the Rio Grande.

Q: How do I get to Pueblo de Cochiti?
A:

  • If traveling from Albuquerque:
    Head North on Interstate 25 to Exit 259 and turn left onto NM Highway 22. After 13 miles, turn left and continue on NM-Highway 22/Rte 85. Turn left onto Cochiti Street.
  • If traveling from Santa Fe:
    Head South on Interstate 25 to Exit 264, turn right onto NM Highway 16. Turn right onto NM Highway 22. Turn left and continue on NM-Highway 22/Rte 85. Turn left onto Cochiti Street.

Q: Where is the Golf Course?
A:

  • If traveling from Albuquerque:
    Take I-25 Northbound, Exit 259 (Santo Domingo Exit), Stay on Highway 22 for approximately 25 minutes
  • If traveling from Santa Fe:
    Take I-25 Southbound, Exit 264 and head west on Highway 16, At the stop sign turn right onto Highway 22, Stay on Highway 22 for approximately 10 minutes

About Cochiti Pueblo

Located 22 miles (35 km) southwest of Santa Fe, the community is a historic pueblo, which is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. The Cochiti pueblo people are a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans. The pueblo administers 53,779 acres (217.64 km2) of reservation land and possesses concurrent jurisdiction over the Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument.
